Legal
Terms of Use
Effective September 6, 2026 · Payment Recovery Group, Inc.
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of paymentrecoverygroup.com and any payment or account pages we operate (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
If you are a client of PRG, your services are governed by your written agreement with us. Where that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement controls.
2. What this Site is
The Site describes PRG's recovery services and provides consumers with information about accounts placed with us and a means of contacting us and making payment.
Nothing on this Site is an offer to extend credit, a demand for payment, or a communication in connection with the collection of any specific debt.
3. No legal advice
PRG is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this Site creates an attorney-client relationship between you and PRG or between you and any attorney to whom PRG may refer an account. Independent collection counsel to whom accounts are referred represent the creditor, not the consumer, and act on their own professional responsibility.
References on this Site to attorney-led compliance describe how PRG governs its own operations. They do not constitute legal advice to any client, consumer, or visitor.
4. Consumer payments
Where the Site permits payment on an account:
- You may only submit payment for an account you are authorized to pay.
- You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted.
- A payment is not effective until we receive it and our processor confirms settlement. Authorization alone does not satisfy an obligation.
- Payments are applied as described at the time of payment and in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the underlying obligation.
- Amounts shown reflect the balance as of the time displayed and may not include items posted afterward.
- If you believe a payment was made in error, contact us at the telephone number in Section 14 before initiating a chargeback, so we can review it.
- Refunds of overpayments are issued to the payment method used, where practicable.
Any service charge, convenience fee, or similar amount added to a payment is disclosed before you authorize the payment, and is imposed only where permitted by applicable state law and the terms of the underlying obligation.
5. Electronic communications
By providing a telephone number or email address to PRG, you consent to receive communications from us at that address or number regarding your account, in accordance with applicable law. You may withdraw consent or direct us regarding the manner and time of communications as provided by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and applicable state law.
Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may stop text messages by replying STOP.
Text messages are sent only to consumers who give separate, express consent to receive them, as described on our SMS Consent and Terms page. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
6. Accuracy of information
We try to keep the Site accurate and current. Balances, account status, and program descriptions may change. Where information on the Site conflicts with a written notice we have sent you or with our account records, those records control.
7. Prohibited use
You may not:
- access or attempt to access any account other than one you are authorized to access
- interfere with the operation or security of the Site
- use automated means to access, scrape, or harvest content from the Site
- submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information
- use the Site in violation of any applicable law
8. Intellectual property
The Site, its content, and PRG's names, logos, and marks are owned by PRG or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our written permission, except that consumers may print or save materials relating to their own account.
9. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party sites and may use third-party payment processors. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of a third-party payment processor is subject to that processor's terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, PRG disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Nothing in this section limits any right a consumer has under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Texas Debt Collection Act, or other applicable consumer protection law, and nothing in these Terms waives any such right.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PRG will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PRG's total liability arising from your use of the Site shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to PRG through the Site in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100). This limitation does not apply to claims that cannot be limited under applicable law, including claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act or the Texas Debt Collection Act.
12. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Subject to Section 13, the exclusive venue for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site is the state or federal courts located in Hays County, Texas.
Nothing in this section affects any right a consumer has to bring a claim in the consumer's own jurisdiction where applicable law provides for it.
13. Dispute resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the courts identified in Section 12. Nothing in these Terms waives any right you have to bring a claim under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Texas Debt Collection Act, or other applicable consumer protection law, or to file a complaint with a regulatory authority.

15. Changes
We may revise these Terms. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance.
16. Text messages
If you request it during a call to 877-421-6077, we will send text messages about your account, such as payment links you ask for and payment confirmations, to the mobile number you provide. Message frequency varies with your requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of making a payment. This is a communication from a debt collector.
